As mentioned earlier, should you decide to come in for an appointment, we will exchange financial information and Box Lunch will make available to you the entire contents of the franchise agreement, clearly outlining all terms, conditions, and obligations that apply to both of us.

In addition, you will receive the basic Disclosure Document required by the Federal Trade Commission. Here is the index of what this contains.

1. Information about Box Lunch owners, its predecessors, and affiliates.
2. The business experience of all officers and management personnel.
3. Any litigation in which officers, management, and personnel have been involved.
4. Any information about any bankruptcies in which officers, directors, and management have been involved.
5. Information about franchise fees and other initial payments required to obtain the franchise.
6. A description of the continuing payments that franchisees are required to make after the franchise opens.
7. Any restrictions on the quality of goods and services used in the franchise and where they may be purchased including restrictions requiring purchases from the franchisor or its affiliates.
8. A description of any assistance available from the franchisor or affiliates in financing the franchise.
9. A description of the goods and services the franchisee is permitted to sell. 10. A description of any restrictions on the customers with whom franchisees may deal.

11. A description of any territorial protection granted to the franchisee.
12. The conditions under which the franchise may be re-purchased or refused renewal by the franchisor, transferred to a third party by the franchisee, and terminated or modified by either party.
13. A description of the training program provided to franchisees.
14. A description of the involvement of any celebrities or public figures in the franchise.
15. A description of any assistance in selecting a site provided by the franchisor to the franchisee.
16. Statistical information about the present number of franchises; the number of franchises projected for the future; and the number of franchises terminated. Also, the number of franchises that the franchisor has decide not to renew, and the number of franchises re-purchased in the past.
17. The financial statements of the franchisor.
18. A description of the extent to which franchisees must personally participate in the operation.
19. A statement of the basis for earnings claims, including the percentage of franchisees achieving them.
20. A list of the names and addresses of other franchisees.
21. A description of franchisor's and franchisee's obligations.
